RX-8 or 300Z???
I am trying to decide which car I want to buy in summer 2003. I will be ready for a new car by then, and so far I have my eyes set on these two. What do you all think? I would like another Hyundai, but the Tuscani doesn't do much for me and I want a car in the $30000 range. Here are some pics of the RX-8 and the 300Z:

IMO I'd get the RX-8, even though the Z car has 10 more hp, I like what Mazda did with the new rotary powered car, looks sleeker than the Z. But If I had $30K to spend... then I'd get a WRX, and have $6K to add more turbo goodies, or a 2002 Civic Si, spend $5K on finishing my hyundai, and $5K on the new car.

I dig the RX8.
But, once again, cars are falling into the "everything look the same" phase. They both look like they take SERIOUS design cues from the Honda S2000. That's unfortunate, IMO, not because I have anything in particular against the S2000 design, but just because I always prefer to have a car that has it's OWN look, and borrows nothing from anyone else. Exhibit A: first-gen Tiburon.
I dig the matching interior on the 8. The interior would lose it's uniqueness, but that car would be jizz in black.

I like the RX8 because of it's 4 doors. Major plus. I hate the RX8 because of it's rotary engine. They are NOT tuner friendly. Yes, you can make them damn fast, but they are prone to blowing up if you get any detonation. Bad thing in my book.
The Z-car sucks looks wise...but that engine should have lots of tuner room judging by the specs nissan put out.
For my 30K...I'd buy a clean Porche 928 GTS, or BMW 850CSi. But limited to your two choices, I'd buy the WRX. (damn I'm a bastard sometimes)
