Default Russian tanks flatten town; EU ready to prepare sanctions

So what do you guys think? Should the EU impose more sanctions? Or is it all in vain? What would you have the EU/US do about the situation? I dont think santions mean anything and are just idle threats. Countries are going to keep going to war and invading other places regardless if the EU puts sanctions on them.

First round of sanctions didn't work.. not sure why the second round will. This could turn really ugly. IMO they are being empowered by the ISIS issue. What is the US going to do? Go after one and the other will take full advantage of that. We should be able to fight two wars at once based off our doctrine, but in the age of cut backs.. might not be able to do that with on foe being freaking Russia.

This is how WWIII starts. Either IS or Russia all up in other peoples' business.

Stand by for the US/NATO to start a committee to prepare some sternly worded letters.

In case anyone missed it, Ukraine is NOT a member nation, and they are asking for materiel vs. direct military involvement from western nations for now. Its kinda like you are at a family BBQ and some random dude starts a fight with some other dude and the one on the losing end asks for a baseball bat. At the moment, everyone else pretty much has the right to whistle, kick rocks, and look at the sky.

Now raise your hand if you think it was still a good idea for the Ukranians to give up their nuclear weapons in exchange for the not-quite-a-treaty guarantee that we'd have their back if sh*t got real.
