Russia and ISIS
Things are getting crazy now. What would happen if the US went to war against Russia and against ISIS at the same time?

It depends on how they setup our Rules of Engagement (ROE). They are not a uniformed military so restricting the ROE too much and we become less effective on the ground. A war with Russia... I am just glad the Thunderbolt is still flying. We will need every tank killer we can come up with to win that fight and luckily we have a few. The really shitty thing is we have been in a maneuver war recently and the Russians have not. They got a good look at our doctrine and adjusted theirs to ours. The only good thing about that is the US Army rarely relies on its own freaking doctrine and lower level Commander's have a lot of room to make a call so out ability to adapt to chaos isn't bad. That would be ugly... very very ugly.

There is a whole lot less "what if" with Syria. There are supposedly-serious people RIGHT NOW advocating we drop bombs on Syrian soil. You know what that's called? Starting a war.
Yes, we are already at war. But if we start a war with a nation headed by an islamist, the other islamist nations might decide to jump in, too, and that gets ugly in a hurry.
