me and the guy that is installing my hoodpins (doing it for free at the bodyshop) decieded to mount the hood pins near the front of the hood inside of the "humps" it seems like they would look really good there..

Ive got a set of SPARCO hood pins on the accord and have had nothing but good luck with them. easy to install and they always work...

I have sparco also...

i used to have some cheap brand but they rusted and looked crappy. the sparco's are really strong and durable.

the circle hood pins look like shit IMO

little circles on the hood? be like some fugly dots

That's where mine were.

Yeah, that's not a bad place to put them code, and the pins you installed won't have the issue I was talking about.

The folks that REALLY NEED the LOCKING ones are the folks that get hoods with no latch.

Code you ricer! i see those winshield wiper nozzle lights!

I had my hood with no hoodpins not completely latched going 80 down the highway for 2 months with no problems, and now if fixed it so it latches great. This DSM guy had his on there less than a week and broke off the first time it hit 50. I think this is an issue of quality.

How did it come off? did the latch just release or did the latch break off?

Quality, luck, doesn't really matter. I stand by my question. Is it really worth your life, or someone else's, to avoid having 2 pins holding your hood down?
