yeah I about cried when it was all over. I've been waiting 6 years to see the outcome of this movie. Now its all complete and I'm only dreading what the damn TV series will do, now that Lucas finally covered his ass with a good movie 1 for 3.

Weapons, more isn't better mang. What if they had to have a ton on those because they were weak, and the Tie Fighters had much better weapons so they don't need as many? Like comparing a 9MM to a .50 CAL bullet.
How do you know they were going faster? Did you use a radar gun? wink1.gif B)
Even today you have the right weapons for the job. Don't forget, in Episode 3, the clone wars have been going on for some time, Episode 4-6 it goes by much quicker. The WAR was over and they just had a small rebel force to fight, no need for these overarmed machines anymore. Not to mention, the more weapons, the more pilots, the more complex the system, and therefore the more complex the maintanence.
It's prolly all because the Empire needed to cut back to ballance their budget.

Much to learn you have tongue.gif I've read books on the Star Wars universe in conjunction with their novels when I was younger. Yes, the Ties are the fastest (with maybe the exception of the A-wing) and did not have the firepower that the X-wings, B-wings and A-wings, Y-Wings had. You could survive a hit by a Tie with a rebel ship but you were dead meat if you got hit in a Tie (the only tie to have shields was Vadar's prototype fighter in the first movie, that's why he survived) You don't have to read the books to know that, just look at all the movies, how many Ties survive a hit? None.
Maintence did not play a role neither did money....the Empire bankrupt several star systems just to make the first Death Star, the Emperor was not worried about money laugh.gif
Damn, now you made me sound like a Star Wars geek wink1.gif

Saw it tonight with my gf.
Eventhough I didn't see 1 and 2, and saw 4-6 10 years ago or something, I still liked. Bunch of cool effects and interesting ending. It was pretty sad though.
I also want to rent all the other ones and watch them.
