No, No, No, No modding!! I left my Prelude alone..(aside form a CD player), I think I can stand to not destroy this one as well.

Yeah, the tib is going to just sit until my dad sends us the stock manifold and piping. We are just going to put it back to stock until we figure out what to do with the turbo.

Accents are cute little cars.. glad you got the one with the good engine...

and it could be worse, I had a first gen Excel with the 60hp 1.5.. not much was slower, though I did fairly well in a few local rallies with it. Light weight, nimble steering, front wheel drive, and not enough power to get into trouble with made for a nice momentium car through the pines

^We had a 1992 excel 2dr too, new from the White Plains Hyundai dealership in Tarrytown, NY! good memories, those early 90's hyundais had more quality material than they do now. excellent bodyshell. but severely underpowered and forget the highway, sitting in the tiburon was SUCH an improvement it's not even funny. i loved how nimble it was though and the size of it compared to other cars. we still have the shift knob from it.

Mad, I didn't know you rallied your car, it must have been really fun!

i know what Alex means by looking like a ricer trying to pass a grandma going 60. man, with the pedal all the way down and the engine revving high it almost looked like you were trying to launch to the moon!

Mine was a black on black 1988 Excel GS. The older more square model. Rallying was a LOT of fun.. until I ripped the crossmember out of the front of it.. actually snapped it almost in half.. thing was flexing like crazy and the wheels would either go extreme toe out or extreme toe in.. 20 miles and the front tires were worn out.

we had one of those too except it was the 4 door! like this:

and yeah the crossmember is the first thing to go during rallying, especially if it is weakened or cracked forget it.

my dad took us to Toronto in it and it couldn't go up hills. haha thank goodness you're in florida swift.
