Considering the guy that designed the Soul, an American, got the inspiration for it while in S. Korea, watching a cartoon about a Warthog with a backpack...

Anything would make sense right now.

Hamsters are linked with Hondas. Hondas have hamsters under the hood, Kias have hamsters driving the cars.

I like to think of it as a bash on Hondas.
