Recent lottery winner killed in home invasion
http://www.wbtv.com/story/31020589/r...-in-fitzgerald
Officials said 20-year-old Craigory Burch, Jr. died from gunshot wounds at a home on Stubbs Avenue.
Burch had won a $434,272 Fantasy 5 jackpot in November 2015.
A shotgun blast blew open the door and three masked, armed men ran in, she said.
Burch threw his pants to the robbers, who looked for but couldn't find his wallet.
Then they shot and killed him before running away.
And this is why you should have home protection and move to another state if your name is published

"That's when Burch threw his pants to the robbers, who looked for but couldn't find his wallet."
That's when Burch should have been drawing a gun, while the distraction was flying through the air. What's that, you don't always have a gun on you at home? I hope you live long enough for the Police to show up.

I look at it this way:
If someone comes into my house uninvited my primary job is to prevent a repeat performance. If I let them run away or what have you, they may not come back, but others will. Humans are predators and thieves will see you as a weak, easy target. If the intruder(s) leave in a body bag it sends the opposite message. Those who may want to harm or steam from you are naturally going to be deterred. I know my home well, and no matter where the creeps enter, I have a tactical advantage. Know these things well and exploit them.
