You want proof?

GO to any of the KOREAN parts sites that sell parts for the RD Series Tiburon.

THEY even label it as the RD.

Let them b**** about what they wanna b**** about, they think they are right, but we KNOW we are.

Pull off almost any part on your car, you'll see a few things on it.

RHD (Right Hand Drive), and RD.

Matter of fact, I'll take a pic of my Turby Skirts where it says it and post it.

Got em, uploading now.

You can't deny these pictures, as these parts are ONLY made available for ONE model of car.

I've got pics of the Turby Skirts, and of the door map pockets.

I also got one of the Beta 2 Spark Plug Cover. It says XD...

Kinda cool, look who made the Turby Skirts. LG.

All distinctly RD, and all distinctly Korean.

Re Opening so others can add pics of their RD parts.

The back of the guage cluster also says RD. I don't have pics, but I remember it from when I pulled it out.

Yah there is no elantra coupe, which means when they write "RD coupe" they are specifically talking about the RD series tiburons. No other car.

If it was "RC" they would be stamped "RC Coupe".....If they were just parts shared with the Elantra, they'd say "RD car" or "RD sedan" or hell even just "RD"

When we say RD were talking about the platform, the chassis code, the elantra and the tib are on the same chassis, so, both are RD.

Dude over on ftibs.com reasoned that his shop manual's say RC, so they must have changed it later.. Which doesnt mean nothing to me, because when the assemblers were putting together our tibs, they used RD, so thats what it is.

Heres a relevant analogy that some of you will relate to, the manual might say that a wire in a certain pin of the ECU is red, but when you get under your car, its blue. This happens alot.

So what color is it? Is it what the manual says or what your eyes see? Its blue.

"Prince", the recording artist, changed is name to a symbol. Guess what, everyone still calls him "Prince" regardless of what he wants to be called because that's how people identify him.

Maybe Hyundai thought changing it to RC would be easier to tell its a coupe, RD coupe = R Coupe = RC; Long shot but If so it didnt work cuz everybody still says RD, so it stays RD.

Are you kidding me?

How many other cars would the HYUNDAI TURBULENCE SKIRTS fit? Or our interior map pockets?

I'll get more pics as I see some parts, those are just current ones that aren't on my car.

Try using the macro function.

Yup, it's everywhere.

Someone just posted shortly ago, maybe 5 months, that they finally belived it too because they found it in their own car.

Spiffy maybe?

http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=21949&hl=

Yup, that's the thread. Pics in that one too.

Who started this debate THIS time?

hahhaha, yeah i don't really pay too much attention to elantras!

i knew the turby side skirts defiantely did not come OEM for the elantras.

but yes, a member from floridatibs.com and I, started this over there-... i came here looking for answers/pics.

i remember reading that thread (ya'll... now i believe), but honestly, the title has nothing to do w/ the thread so i missed that one during my search (plus i remeber it said RD-... wasn't sure if it said coupe). w/ the search function not allowing an abbriviated search, it was difficult to find the previous threads ("chassis code" was the only one that seemed to help me).

^doesn't mean i'm complaining about the search function!

my dum@$$ never thought to search "coupe"-...

i do believe that this thread is more helpful (on the rd/rc topic) because it shows multiple accounts of visual proof that alot of the threads did not have. so thank you for re-opening it!

No problem. I'll get more for sure.

The Turbulence thing, the RD2 in Korea, is the TURBULENCE. That means that the 2000/2001 Tiburon over in Korea, with those skirs, is the TURBULENCE. They don't go on nor would they fit on any elantra.
