Not sure what your e-mail addy is, so I'm not sure If I got your e-mail.
Once the bugs get worked out of the Alpine install, it should be just as reliable as the Supercharger. the main thing that keeps the Supercharger install from being fairly easy is replacing the motor mounts. The turbo install will NEVER be easy...
The supercharger is cheaper to install vs. the turbo, but overall, I would still reccomend the turbo.
However if FUNDS are an issue, or Local Emissions laws are an issue...then the supercharer is a much more attractive option.

If you add a SC, it will help a lot if you do upgrade your complete exhaust system to include a set of 4-1 headers, 3" piping, high-flow cat, one small glass-pack or resonator, and a performance muffler. Since you will be blowing out more exhaust you will want a better flowing exhaust system.QUOTE

Random, you live in Cali, how you going to get around the strict emission laws here...? I eventually want to go turbo too and I thought about emissions and I know doing the turbo up the tib will not meet the CA emssion criteria for passing.

My car will be titled in a state without emissions laws/restrictions...thats how! *grin*
Also..the supercharger does not need 3" exhaust tubing. 2.5 would do just fine. Remember, when Alpine was testing, a low restriction muffler LOST HP....and that is just the axle back muffler section...
