I bought the first lottery ticket since my 18th birthday.
One and a half billion...I know I won't win, I can't even fantasize about that really. I think I would buy a country.

The fantasy value alone is >$2. Worth it.
Take the lump sum. There are lottery winners in Michican recently who didn't get their payments because the state is broke as a joke. Get it while the getting's good.

The problem with islands is there's not enough landmass to get any car up to speed.
If you want the money to last pay off debts, buy one VERY fun car and invest the rest. Annuitised payments will start in the 15M/yr range AFTER Uncle Sam is done raping you, then grow to over 60k before all is said/done.

Or at least an island: http://www.privateislandsonline.com/
Islands can be pretty big, plenty to get a car up to speed.

especially because you can afford to build a banked track around the outside that doubles as a seawall and a pirate-repulsion barrier (to be topped with automated machine guns, naturally)
