Come to Chicago... It's Chicago mang! There's always jobs everywhere for everything. There are apartments in anyones price range, there's a reason we are one of the biggest/best cities. =) Check it out for yourself, best of luck socks.

Nashville cost-of-living is about 5% lower than the National average. Small local racing scene, mostly at the local 1/8 mile track. Tons of Healthcare companies to work for in Nashville... not sure about AutoCAD or civil engineering. LoJac is a huge construction company in Nashville. We also have 15 or so universities in Nashville if you need any extra education (MTSU, TSU, Trevecca, Belmont, Vanderbilt, David-Lipscomb, Nashville State, etc.)
Homes here can range anywhere from $85 - $130 per sq. ft. with $100/sq. ft. being the average. My mom is a realtor if you need someone to talk with.
Bowling Green Kentucky (Beech Bend) has a 1/4 mile track a little more than 1 hour away.
