I would put money on it that it was a woman that just didn't understand.

She hates when I bring it up, but Stacy submarined the Tib...with a CAI. She sucked water into the engine but it didn't hydrolock it. I did have to drain the oil because it was full of water thought.

Ouch. I can understand to misjudge how deep it is. But if I saw that it looks like its deeper than 2 inches I would go a different route or just pull over and wait.

reason why it didn't hydrolock is probably because of the midship engine layout and the intake was high and dry,
