My prayers are with their familes.
One of the guys on a Kansas City forum here knew Ben the driver of the CGT
This is very sad but like he said every one needs to take it easy out there.

Since we recently got off the topic of these 2, i wanted to let some of you guys know that i was greatly saddened today.
I know an owner of a CGT. Him and i have had similar topics of conversation about Lambo and the CGT and which was much better. Of course to him the CGT was the best. It was a track car, a race car. He loved it. We had very spirited conversations sometimes, as we are both very passionate about the things we love.
The point im making, is everyone discusses these cars and which is better, which is faster etc etc. Ben and i had the discussion over and over. The limits of any of these cars are really so far out of reach for any of us, that the differences are really inconsequential.
Ben died today. He was in his Carrera GT at Fontana, doing what it did best. He hit the wall, his passanger died instantly, he died shortly thereafter. My prayers are with his family, and may he rest in peace.
For the rest of us, we are all car guys, and we all need to take it easy out there. Life is too short.

Dang... 02.gif Hey Random, do you know if this accident happened on that "bad" turn that you were telling me about before? I think it's like turn 8 or 9 that you were talking about that is just a poorly designed turn.

That is turn 9 at the big track @ Willow Springs in Rosamond, CA.
This accident happened on the infield road course at California Speedway in Fontana, CA.
