i think it's the same reason toys r us closed many stores, thanks to amazon and ebay.

whats funny is there was a corporate-wide email sent out to all Sears Auto store managers about this and to lookout for Pep Boys applicants. lol. good way for our Auto Centers to hire on new people without having to do much training

actually it says 33 in the article! None closing in NY though, oh well.
