LOL, somebody just read "The Da Vinci Code". That book has some interesting revelations in it. have you read "Angels and Demons", it is the prequel and is pretty neet too.
Seems like everytime someone mentions Templars or Merovingian or Mary Magdelene in the last couple years or so folks instantly make the assumption that it's based on Davinci Code nonsense.
The dead sea scrolls and a bunch of other confusing possibly historical text came out way before that book. Not to mention that Davinci Code wasn't original at all in that a lot of the "theories" in the fictional story were stolen from vague scholars that have dropped "heretical" beliefs about such ties for the last couple hundred years. Some of this stuff was on PBS or other learning TV stations in the US before Davinci Code was written. Chock it up to another historical mystery that may never be solved.
Not bashin ya, just pointing out some reference.
But the whole Friday the 13th thing is still cool.

If you want to read a book that follows those lines but is more accurate in it's presentation of facts, you should read "Holy Blood, Holy Grail." I'm about to start reading it, but I heard that the author ofDi Vinic Code got alot of ideas form this book.
