Looks like the PS3 may have two models upon release.... one pure gaming station and one with all the add ons. The discs they will be using can hold a whopping 50GB each. Price should be between $300 - $500.

The PS3 will suck as much as the PS2 does.

$300 to $500 is a little high for my taste, considering I barely play games. I'll just wait a year or so untill the price drops.

With they way Microsoft has planned so you can upgrade stuff on the Xbox, AND use it as a DVR, Media Center, and everything else, Sony has some catchup to do.

Sony is trying their old method that killed Sega. Wait for the system to come out, make something a bit better, put it out a year later, and swamp it with games that suck.

Sorry, that just isn't going to work with Microsoft. Expect the 360 to have enough units in homes that the PS3 (Piece of Shit 3) will be well behind (Even now, the Xbox is home of the RABID hardcore gamer, most of them laugh at the PS2), and they will be playing catchup.

Not to mention, the 360's released stats are just estimates on what it will be. Everyone said the Xbox wouldn't make it.

LMAO

so they did decide to go with the blue ray discs. you know if they are still going to support dvds? i heard they might not, in attempt to switch the world to blue ray. they'd better put more control ports up front too. backwards compatible? it would have to support dvds to be.

Actually from what I have seen, it is supposed to be more powerful than even the high powered PCs that are out. It will be interesting to see what actually comes out. Incidentally, I have only played x-box a few times, but I never really adjusted to the controller layout. If nothing else, PS3 better still have the best controller ever designed, or I might just jump ship.

From what I've read it is still supposed to be backwards compatible. Should still play PS1 and PS2 games. From the looks of it, the processor will be almost three times faster than the 360 and with the blue ray discs the games that they should be able to produce with that amount of space should be phenomenal. Still tempted to get the 360 though. No release date for either system yet. Be sure to watch Mondy to get a sneak peak at the PS3.
