Default New Tiburon, RSX, celica?

Hi, I am a first time poster here... I am looking to buy a new car in the next 12 months, and I am debating on what to get. I am looking at a rsx, celica, then I saw the new tiburon gk (I think thats what its called) thats coming out next year.I think its a really nice looking car, my question is regarding hyndais reliability. I have heard they are getting better, but are they up to a Honda or Toyota level? Any input is appreciated. Does anyone know how much the new tiburon will cost?

woooo wait 1 min bullrider........

1st: RSX-S is 200 hp :-)

2nd: Celica is harder to find parts for than even the current Tiburon..... don't believe me check out newcelica.org and listen to their bitching.....

3rd: If the Gk is everything it should be...meaning weight power and features it will for sure give you the best bang for the buck....and parts will be made for it :-)

Thats what I was going to say, 270 what you be smoking some good crack LMAO. RSX is going to cost some bucks just because it says Acura. Go with the GK because same horsepower and you will have 10 year warranty plus you can be probably be a test subject for new performance parts.

Don't know if this helps, but I saw a RSX type S at Capitol raceway today and it ran a 16.6ET. Don't know how good the driver is, but that's not all that good.

Heck if you single then buy a classic. Don't waste time with those. My freind is selling his celica all-trac. high 13's on the quarter mile but built for speed on the turns. I would race that car against any brand new honda or acura. LOL Seats are better and only 20,000 made in the world. Worth big bucks. If not datsun 510, toyota mango, there are just too many to list. I had to get a brand new 4dr lantra cause it was for my babes and children.

Anything that comes with a 10 disk changer stock from the factory tells me that particular company, Acura, is NOT thinking speed. That is ATLEAST $300 they could have put elsewhere...

Gwt the new Tib if you want to mod it, also factor in the insurance cost, I believe the Celica or the RSX will be much more expensive to insure especially since Hyundai's aren't known for speed to the ins. guys. wink.gif

The current Best RSX is the Type S with 200 HP. The RSX Type R that Japan gets, eeks out another 17 HP for 217 out of the same 2 liters. (217 HP). The "Type R" is not the glory car of old. Due to cost cutting measures at honda, gone are the double wishbone fully indepent suspension at all 4 corners. So the handling advantage that the "Type R's" had in the past is now gone as well.

The New Celica GT-S is a screamer, and is in the same class as the Type-S/R and The new GK, but Parts are hard to come by for the GT-S, and since they are TOYOTA's...parts are spendy.

As the new GK has been stated at 200 HP bottom, and has high as 215, it puts the GK tibby in good company.

I personally guarantee you that when the GK comes out, there will NOT be much available. Maybe a Cold Air Intake and a couple of other things....but with the help from korea, within 6 months, things should be moving in the GK aftermarket.

BTW...moving to off topic.
