Re: 97 & 99 Tiburon part out
other ppl have already keyed in on it.... but i'd want something that doesn't give us archive number 2.
i know nothing about computers and software and stuff like that.... i guess what it will come down to is the ease of using, ease of moderating, and pricewise for you

Re: F/S OZ-Flow BBTBs and Phenolic spacers
I just noticed vBulletin has the least amount of votes although it is more established.
Anyways, I wanted to give you all an update.
OLD SITE - I successfully imported the entire old site into vBulletin. When I do the final transfer/integration I will not import avatars or private messages. Reason being, avatars are normally replaced as the members interests change, and the PM's are all about 5 months old.
NEW SITE - This one is taking some handcoding. I have to modify the scripts to look for the tables and fields in the new site. So far I have been able to successfully import all of the users and their PM's. I require probably about two more hours of messing with the script to finish up the forum portion. It looks like I just need to change a couple more variables.
Anyways, it's pretty exciting. We should no longer have to refer people to the old site to search, after the two are merged they will be totally searchable.
When it comes time to do the actual transfer I am going to have to take the site down. I am going to say 12 hours. It will probably only take about 1-2 to import everything. Then I just need to go in and clean some stuff up, set permissions, set groups, etc. I will open the site back up to moderators as soon as I get the groups set. We will do a quick run through of everything to make sure nothing is broken. After that, it's all yours...

Re: Fit or Fat?
Well, like I said java, move my vote from IPB to VBulliten.
Also...
What's gonna happen with post counts?

Any estimated date?

Re: New Site Software
sounds awesome, I think vbb is going to be the best, it's got tons and tons of mods, really stable, plus it is the most common/user friendly board out there.
Thanks a TON for all the work java, if you need any help just yell, I'd be more than happy to. laugh.gif

Re: Mitsubishi->Hyundai engine swaps??
From what I saw with the initial tests it is not merging the post count. So we don't have to worry about it. I'm not going to be able to do it officially until we get our own license. Right now I am just testing it out, working out bugs, etc. so that when it comes time it will be painless. In the meantime if you all want to go to www.vbulletin.org and look through the mods, let me know what you want. So far vbGarage is going to be setup, as well as a contest mod that will handle COTM.
**Edit - Ultratibby said we can use his license until we purchase our own. Maybe this Sunday I can get it done.
