I was wondering if anyone knows how to get new car smell. I was looking at the new car smell air fresheners and most of them just smelled like cologne.

it comes from the plastics and glue used in the car. so it's a natural sent.

Seems there's trouble replicating this artifical sent! Must be too natural.

preferably not on the seat, steering wheel, shifter, or the pedals.. unless you like you car so much you cannot bear to be parted from her.

But yes, the "new car smell" is a combination of things. the outgasing of the paint, glue, new plastics, foam in the seats, and whatever it is they used to initially clean the car after it was finished and shipped to the states...

In other words, the refreshing aroma of carcinogens slowly killing you. fing02.gif

I keep a quarter pound of ground coffee under a seat, replacing it every few months. Smells awesome. If you like coffee.
