An elementary teacher starts a new job at a school in Boston and
> trying to make a good impression on her first day, explains to her

> The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says: "Mary, why
> didn't you raise your hand?"
> "Because I'm not a Celtics fan," she replied.
> The teacher, still shocked, asked: "Well, if you're not a Celtics
> fan, then who do you support?"
> "I'm a Spurs fan, and proud of it," Mary replied. The teacher
> could not believe her ears.
> "Mary, why are you a Spurs fan?
> "Because my mom and dad are from San Antonio and my mom is a Spurs

> "Well," said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, "that's no

> your parents all of the time. What if your mom was a prostitute

Tomarrow will be the big showdown. I think something is definately up with the NBA. I've beem watching the NBA Finals for a very long time now, longer then some of you have been alive. This is the first time I've seen a finals series where a team dominated at the beginning and was then dominated in turn by the opposing team. The rosters have not changed and neither have the coaches so I don't see how there could be such a drastic swing in momentum, it hasn't occured in recent memory and I don't see why it should start now. Something is definately up.

This is the real deal, the best two teams in the NBA fighting for the Crown. Detroit has shown everyone why they are the current Champs and will fight punch.gif till the end...
GO DETROIT!!! swordfight.gif
SPURS = owned.gif

Your celebration is premature my friend, the series isn't over yet.
I think there is something fishy going on, what a coincidence that this series got competitive during players/owners negotiations which just got resolved yesturday. We're talking about millions and millions of dollars here with more to come to the NBA is series goes to a game seven. They also want their ratings to go up and they're trying to create some sort of drama so people who don't live in San Antonio and Detriot (who are not large media markets compared to LA or New York) will tune in to watch the series. I remember watching the Rocket vs Orlando (when Horry was a Rocket and Shaq was with the Majic) in the mid/early 90's and the Rockets swept the Majic. that was one of the lowest rated NBA series at that time. It seems the NBA is working behind the scenes here to prevent another short coming and to ensure they enjoy a good profit margin.

The most hilarious thing in the world....
The Spurs win:
"yeah woo hoo!! The Spurs did great!"
The Pistons win:
"WTF...the Spurs did horrible."
No one ever says "Man, the Pistons outplayed the Spurs tonight"
If the Spurs win, its because they are better. If they lose, its because they screwed up, not because Detroit is better. Makes no sense at all.
Now...Detroit wins 2 in a row, then again game 6:
"What?!? It's a damn conspiracy!!"
Have any Spurs fans stopped to consider that they are playing the defending champs?? They won the championship last year for a reason, and they are back this year for a reason.
They aren't just some team that came out of no where and amazed people when they showed up for the playoffs.
The Pistons are an excellent team. Spurs fans don't respect them, but you can be sure the Spurs themselves are beginning to. This isn't the walk in the park you guys thought it would be tongue.gif

I think there is somthing up and it has NOTHING to do with me being a Spurs fan.
When the spurs lost, I stated that the Pistons outpalyed them (in game 3). As this series progressed, I began to see that the NBA is trying to get some drama outta this with the refs making some very questionable calls/ noncalls. Anyone who knows anything about making money, and I'm talking millions here, will know that the main goal of ANY business is to make money. There is no conspiracy, its a fact the NBA wants to make as much money outta this as it can. Who wins is IRRELEVANT as long the ratings go up for them.
