Well, I've shown you London... sooo I thought I'd bring you guys some pictures back of Qatar (pronounced "cutter")... to be honest, the country wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The people there are really friendly, and come to find out Doha is a really big resort destination.
There is a mall there that has four stories of shopping and eating and fun! There is an ice skating ring, go-karts, and a giant arcade that we got lost in! lmao.gif

So anyway, here are some pictures. cool.gif

The most important picture of the whole collection! A Hyundai Dealership! LOL

(nope, sorry no Tibs in there... I only saw one RD1 the whole time I was there!)

Part of a little town on the way to into Doha, you can see the minerette of a mosque. There are mosques every other block it seemed... a very religious people those Muslims are!


Here we see a little "castle" that is in the middle of a round-about


These are the Great Swords, there are the entrance way to the Souqs district. A Souq is a grouping of a couple of blocks with stores of all the same type (i.e. jewlery stores)

This was a really impressive building. This is the Grand Mosque of Qatar, this picture really does it no justice...


What is this, no tuba playing?! LOL It is for horn blowing, it's not allowed in front of some building out of respect for the occupants.


These next three are of some sand... and some dunes... and a little more sand... The second one has a camel in it at the bottom of the dune... If no one belives me, Ill zoom in on it! drillsergeant.gif LOL I got these pictures when the Qataris threw a "party" to celebrate the ending of Ramadan. It was crazy! Sand buggies and ATVs everywhere!






This is the two of the guards (and a friend of mine from on base) protecting the "camp" from badits and terrorist forces.


This guy (who's name slips my mind just now...) was the top Lt of the Qatari Army with his falcon. They releases three doves that the falcon went after and pretty much ripped to shreds as an offering to Allah for a good Ramadan

I've been to Saudi ARabia and U.A.E.... Now by the pictures.. Qatar too looks very developed. Good for the Middle Eastern Countries.

^^Well Im certainly glad that you guys liked that picture! I saw the video on when that was dropped, it took out a bunker full of mortar guys who had a platoon of Marines pinned down. No Jihad survivors and the Marines didnt loose a single man.

hill really aint much though. we did just get back from balad and i could look for some pics on my work comp but i didnt want to hijack the thread and yea we are known as the lawn dart. lol. what made you go to the darkside?
