Is this going to be a track orientated project car? I cant imagine how hard its going to be to track down all the little interior bits and stuff...

First I just want to get it on the road. Then I will see what I will do with it. You guys would be surprised how nice the merkur community is. I already have PMs from a few guys who are willing to send me random interior parts for free.

Right on, I seen a merkur yesterday when I was driving. Are they stupid fast or something. Whats the big deal, the turbo??

BTW i have always liked the merkur, just dont know too much about it!

That's awesome! It's a good thing because if they weren't it would be really tough to take on a project like this one.

Not very fast by any means but they are somewhat rare and they are very easy to mod. Its pretty much a love it or hate it styling thing...I love it but I can see how many people think its ugly. My friend saw it today for the first time and he thinks it won't look too bad if I take the bi-wing off...which I would never do lol.
