Mohammed, why is his image banned
It is my understanding that images of the prophet are prohibited because he was simply a man who did not want to be idolized above Allah. This is why his likeness is forbidden. But isn't creating laws and rules surrounding him a form of idolatry? Isn't it raising him up on a pedestal putting him in a position of more than simply just a man?

There are a TON of things in the Quran that say contrary to what people do. Unfortunatly, many of the muslims can't read and are brainwashed by various religious leaders and have no clue as to what their religious book actually says.

Who condemned other religions? And you prove my point though....
Just like there are many brainwashed Christians. They have no clue what the Bible says, they just believe what some person tells them to beleive. A Christian who condemns others for believing other religions is like a Muslim who kills innocent people in the name of Allah. Though it is lack of education for a majority of muslims that they can't read their holy book, it is usually lazyness or lack of caring on many Christians reasoning for not knowing their holy book.
