i personally felt it was just a family wanting a crapload of money for nothing and was trying to use Michael Jackson to get that money.
Exactly what it was. Just like Kobe Bryant. Or that chick hitting up Wendy's for the finger in the chili. Friggin rediculous. They tried to get Jay Leno for money too.
QUOTE (BIGTRE13 @ Jun 13 2005, 03:28 PM)
The family has tried this before, sucks for them. they got more bieng his friend.
Yup. He should sue them.

I still can't believe it. Not even the serving alcohol to minors count...wtf? you mean suddenly they were 21 when they drank and now theyre back to being 13 again?
Ehhh, proof? I could say Santa Claus gave me herpe's, but without proof...

Yup.
Half the reason she took that damned first one to court was so he would settle OUT of court. He called her bluff.
Look at it this way though David.
Could Michael?
Sure, anyone could.
But WTF? Someone can't love kids? (No snide remarks) He was accused of it once, and acquitted of it, then again, and acquitted of it, folks will tend to belive any accuser of anything.
I got accused, personally, of Equal Opportunity voilations in the US Army for saying the word Nephew.
That's right. I almost got Court Martialled because a black guy in my unit thought I called him Nephew.
What happened? I went to turn in my rifle to the armorer (This was like 4 days after 9/11 and we were doing guard duty on the perimiter of Fort Riley), he wanted a breifing before we went home, and over the noise of our running Humvee, I said "I'll see ya in a few."
For that, I almost lost some serious money, my respect from my soldiers and fellow Sergeants, and possibly my career. If I would have been kicked out (My unit had racial issues, we had 2 killings and 2 attempted killings based on racial stuff in a year), I would never have met my wife.
I tend to now look at both sides of something, try to see it from every angle, and plainly, this family was after money.

It was big news at work, havn't seen this much anticipation for a verdict since the OJ trial. I really don't have an opinion as he was found innocent, what I think dosn't matter, BUT I do think it's a shame that all those millions of Californian tax payer's money was waisted.
