I want the SSD and Linux. The HA's come with Win XP and the license adds about $100 to the price of the computer. The 1000 has everything I want and is cheaper.

I'm just glad it's coming with Windows 7, and I've got a good warranty. I've got my desktop for backup if needed.
I've looked at bit at the Lenovo's, as others have suggested them to me, but they are ugly as hell, and seems you can only buy them from their site or used.
The one you listed seems okay, but doesn't have a N wireless or numberpad for the keyboard, smaller HDD, and less ram.
Thanks though, I'll keep those in mind when I get a new one for my wife.
