while NJ does not have the monopoly problem Mass does.. we do have MINIMUM policies that the state requires you to have.. that makes our rates some of the highest in the nation as well.

NJ insurance companies also work on a three year schedule. If you get a ticket today.. you will not get it off of your record until April 2, 2009.. while the state only tracks them for a year, taking two points a year off of your record so long as you do not get a second driving offense in that time.

Actually, we ARE the highest in the nation, haha.

Anyway... I pay like $360 a month. High performance sports vehicle, 19 year old driver, female, New Jersey. That sums it up. I don't have much of a choice if I want full coverage.

You shouldn't even have a liscense! If you are willing to put everyone else on the road at risk because you think you can drive drunk. You should be in jail for some ignorant shit like that!

Well I have Geico with my dad in NJ and Im under his name, however, once I got the Subaru I told them it belonged to me so they upped the price of the coverage on it. I think it was like $1100 for six months. I only had one accident, and no tickets etc. (knock on wood) Ive had my license for almost three years. My dad got tickets out the ass for a while but it stopped lately. Luckily, his rates arent that high either for NJ I guess; with me on his policy (with the tib and he has the new chrysler)) I think we paid 3 grand for 6 months. This was with Geico. Our old insurance co. charged us 6 grand for 6 months.

Start driving a little better man, because your not going to get low rates for being a careless driver.

My statement was only in reference to your d.u.i. not the rest of the stuff. i have had speeding tickets and run stop signs, but d.u.i. i wont do . so if the cops are only 20 ft away why did you drive instead of walk?
