Uhm, first off, I'd buy a 2001.
Welcome to the site. RDTiburon.com is about the 1st and 2nd generation Tiburons (1997-2001)
You might wanna check out www.newtiburon.com
Anyways, you won't be happy with the automatic, I strongly suggest you don't get it.
If you are planning on modifying it, I'd get the I4 engine, the V6 sucks.

What is your driving style? Are you gonna upgrade/modify your car in future?
Are you gonna race on your car?
For my driving habits I would prefer manual tranny, cause I like full control of my car.

Automatic? Ugh, I drove the 2005's both auto and manual, no way I'd buy the automatic - S L O W. Brand new tibs are too expensive for the amount of power they give imo - I'd have a lot more fun with an SRT4 or a turbo miata for a bit more. A used 2004/2005 wouldn't be too bad though, they go for what, $12k?

The V6 takes well to the usual bolt ons... Intake, exhaust, filter... after that, you are dealing with a weaker aluminum block than the iron used in the I4. If you are after lots of power, I suggest the 4 cylinder. If you are looking for moderate amounts of HP and a smoothness the 4 cannot give you.. go for the V6.
I agree on the auto, hyundai automatics are not the best in the world. Even stock engines can break them. Go for the stick, maybe even the six speed. You will be a LOT happier.
And while we do cater to the first two generations of Tib... if you get the 4 cylinder, there are some things we can help you.

IMO, get a manual. I've had one for 5 years and i couldnt go back to an auto. Especially if you plan on modding your car, best bet is to go manual. As for the color, I like it. GL with your decision!!
