HA is an oldie and goodie. Don't worry about it being competition. I believe it's better to have more forums to grab as many people to the community as possible. I got pulled into the community through HyundaiPerformance. It's the only forum that came up when I searched for Tiburon stuff online. I found it, and through it found many other parts of the community.

I'm hoping I'll be able to save the forum somehow.

progression of forums according to phorq:

FXtreme.org starts/heads the Hyundai Community.
SharkRacing.org gains steam after FX fizzles <-- I get my tib and join forums
HyundaiPerformance appears and grows quickly, but nobody gets really passionate about it wink1.gif
HyundaiAftermarket.com appears and most migrate from SR.org
HA.com breaks and the community falls back to HP.com because there's no other place to go
RDTiburon.com appears and most RD owners happily defect from HP.com
HA.com makes a couple rebirths, but never takes off to it's original glory.

Correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a long journey, and I may have messed up thing chronologically!

Hyundai Aftermarket was the best, period.

HA was the best, of course. It was the best because of the people on it, not because of the name of the site.

phorq: If you remember, HA.com started because the SR forums became accessible to the pay members only eek5.gif Random grabbed a copy of the SR forums (I guess yamaneko gave it to him, but I couldn't say), and that was the base of the HA.com forums. That's why it was so good: it had a long way to explore most of the Hyundai questions and projects, through 2 forums, and most people just naturally made the switch from fxtreme->SR->HA.

Also, IIRC, HP.com appeared appeared during the reign of HA.com.

I still believe adding one more forum to the community is retarded, as everything will get dilutated. We need it's old information, not another place to post.

Agarwal, you're right, I totally forgot about the pay-membership at TSR... I remember that my membership continued there even though I didn't pay for it...

agreed, we need more archives, not a "new forum"
i do prefer one good forum with plenty of information.. be it RD or HA
why would we need to search for precious info on 30 forums when we could get one good database?
