I got my first Tibby, 97 FX, on Wednesday March 20, 2002 for $8,000 CDN with 65,000 kms on it. Wrecked it that following Monday. Totally not my fault, honestly. Got my 98 SE, in May 2002 for $9,000 with 93,000 kms on it.

Bought the black tib in July 2002 for about $11k. Still owe probably about $6k on it and have to keep paying for it even though its now scrap metal.
Bought the blue tib in October 2004 for $1500. Thats my parts car.
Bought my current silver tib in December 2004 for about $6k. Owe my mom about $2000 for it.
But other than the $2000 that my mom lent me, I have paid every single payment on the car, and paid for the blue tib and the other $4000 on the silver tib with my own money. And Ive also paid for the insurance as well all along. No spoilage here.

I bought mine, scrapped, back in summer of '01, IIRC, for ~6000$ CDN.
The story of my car is kinda long, so if it interests you, just read the writeup I did about it.

My parents bought me the Tib in August of 2003. i was promissed a $2000 car if I did well in school. Well my dad and I went up to London to look at a 94 Probe GT, and on our way back we passed the Hyundai dealership. My dad said we should stop by and look at the cars since my mom has a 95 Accent and he likes it alot. Then he saw a Tiburon and said if I buy a Hyundai he will guve me 6K...so I found a nice black one in good shape and everything I needed...

Got it on a salvage title with like 5000 miles, nothing was wrong with it, the rear fender was broke, bought it for like $7,500 two years ago if not more. I paid it off instantly right from my mechanic, my parents paid for about half of it, for insurance and legal reasons the title is actualy on my mom but it is unofficialy mine and will be signed over once i hit 18.

After a lot of saving[5 years approx. to cover all the parts and expenses] and then about 6 months of searching for a good unit which hadn't already been rallied or raced. COme to think of it, I would have been better off just buying a dedicated GTP car and putting an interior in that.
