I think it's hillarious, you can tell how old folks are here by the way they type.
I'm 30.

The exception is Kit-Fox... you would think he's 10 by the way he types. tongue.gif

I am 23... this my fourth car, but my first car I've done any work to. My experience comes in the form of DIY trial and error. You don't learn anything if you don't try. I'm on this site so I can avoid any potential mistakes when I take on a new project.

I'm 22. I got my experience by helping a neighbor rebuild a 65 corvette from the ground up. From there I helped with 6 quarter midget cars (at once). Next I helped out with late model and modified dirt track cars. I helped the motor guy put together one of the 350's and learned alot about motor work from him.
Electronics? I took a couple of courses at the community college and I created a couple of nifty things on my own. Lots of reading goes a long way tongue.gif.

I'm seventeen and type like crap.....lol
My story:
At 14-15 I got interested in turbo-prop planes and began learning about their engines, aerodynamics, flight properties, the physics of flying, what will happen when you do "this" in the air, etc, etc. At 15 I began to sneak out of my house and take my dad's car out in the middle of the night and taught myself how to drive stick (took 3 nights total but it was funny seeing myself struggle on the huge hills here in Seattle). Got caught at 15 1/2 (by cops) and got off with a warning. Dad put me through driver's ed, got a 200 dollar Ford Taurus (w/o him knowing about it, still doesn't know to this day....HAHA) and drove friends around, went off-roading, learned the abilities of a car the hard way.....took it apart a few times, stuggled to figure out to put it back together. Then the hood on the Taurus came up and hit my windshield twice in two days and it was basically totaled (no money to fix it) so now it lays on it's deathbed somewhere in the woods of Marysville....lol
Got a job, bought a tib (I've loved RD1's since I saw em, glad I chose this over the 1987 Toyota Supra I was looking at) and here I am...just began tuning, I'm somewhat knowlegable I guess.
I'm getting back into planes right now though.
