I like the way that looks, the White, yellow, and blue, with the "H" and "Tiburon". How much do you suppose that would cost? I'm not talking about the number and sponcers. Just to get that done, a guess?

 

As a custom Paint Job, it would run at least $3000. In Vinyl, professionally applied so it looked good. About $500 to $700

 

This one sign and graphics store next to my insurance company said they would do most designs $15 per sq ft per sticker... Is that ok for vinyl stickers/graphics like the Tiburon above?

 

Hmmmm...is that the price to make the kit, or the price to install it?

 

Well....just so happens that I was just looking into getting some vinyl done to my car. It is going to be a custom design and this is what I was looking at (note that these are lowest cost to absolute highest cost):

"Art-charge" <--the price that it will cost me for them to "think up" and get my design onto paper
$120-160

"Decals" <--which I guess includes the actual vinyl and creating the decals
$320-500

"Install" <--the price to actually put the vinyls onto my car
$140-320

Grand total if I was to go all out: $980

It all depends on the amount of time that they spend on it and the amount of coverage on my car...

 

Still beats an expensive paint job. Here's another thing maybe you want to look at. Search around for places that do custom airbrushing. You still might be able to get a custom design on your car, but it will be paint, and it won't cost as much as having a paint shop do it. wink.gif The design that's on that car above is actualy very easy. If you have any experience painting, you should be able to do it yourself within a weekend. The part that would be tough is the "H" logo and the word "Tiburon." But for those 2 things, you could get just get the vinyl work done, and it won't cost very much at all.

 

How "involved" was your design you were thinking of? Or were you just talking "generic" designs with the guy?
