Did you get away or did you get caught? Those that got caught, what was the penalty you received? Those that got away, how did you do it without getting busted?

Yup. Hauling ass to the beach down a divided highway. I was probably going right at 100mph. Saw the state trooper traveling the other direction. I tried to slow down in time, but I saw him turn on the lights. At that second, there happened to be an exit to a rural road. I watched him in my rear view mirror slow down and cross the large grassy median to turn around. As I took the exit, I was probably at least 1/2 a mile ahead already. The exit I took went into some heavily wooded farms divided by roads that forked in several directions. I just kept flooring it taking lefts, rights, lefts... Eventually I came to a larger raod which put me back on the highway to the beach free and clear. :biggrin:



This was like 10yrs ago, and yes, I was stupid.

 

Prob out of SOL, so confessing would do them no good. Coward.

 

Yeah....ran a few times. Got caught once. This was in my early days if being dumb and stupid. My attorney and I were on a first name basis at that point. Got alot of the tickets I was issued, dropped but it cost me quite a bit in terms of money.



Ran a few times on my bike too, but never got caught. Its alot easier to get away on a bike than a car, thats for sure.





Would I do it now? No way. Not worth losing my license or killing someone trying to flee.

i had a friend do it before in detroit, from what i saw on the news it was quite the chase. he ended up out running them, but because they knew a) who it was and B) got his plate number, they showed up at his door the next day..



he got his license revoked among other things.. LOL

 

I have in the past. Got away every time. Wouldn't run if I wasn't 100% sure I had somewhere to run to. Unsure of SOL on this so not posting too many details on here. Will not do it now. It's easier to fight a speeding/racing/reckless driving ticket than an evasion charge.



Above all happened outside of the US and all US territories, of course. Or alternately was made up. Yeah, let's go with that.
