If you must know. I was once heavily into Japanese animation. I still would be if I could find titles that actually interested me. Anyway, in the Original "bubblegum crisis" series, put out back in the late 80s, there was a song that played alongside the opening credits that included a motorcycle chase.. I do not know the name of the song, but the one refrain in english was "Mad Machine"
To tie this in, my Fiat at the time (my second in case you were wondering) was named Madison, or "maddie" for short (the irony of that is that my fiancee at the time, a sweet little chinese girl whose name was actually Ling, had taken "maddie" as her english name before I met her) and my friends put two and two together and came up with "Mad-Machine" as sort of my Fiat's new name and her title song. It probably did not help that I was in my early twenties and kind of drove like an Arsehole..
So there you go. The Origins of my forum name "Mad-Machine." I have used it ever since
