i got a ticket today. 225! for loud exhaust. im going to plead not guilty, anyone know what will happen? i heard i ahve to go to emissions to get it tested. will a glasspack cut down the sound a little bit? anyone have the motoria silencer? does that cut down the sound some? i think i lost mine, can anyone send me theirs? i dont have 225 dollars.

 

thats no good, usually if you have it fixed by the time you get to court they will drop it, or u could just say this is how loud it was when he pulled me over and show them the results, and they wont have nuthin on u. mine is louder than stock but not overly loud by anymeans, ive got a hiflow cat, huge glasspack, and OBX str8 thru muffler.

 

Get a glasspack from summitracing 30 bux and it will make for a lower sound + a cat.

 

wow, i know the last time I got a ticket in CT it was $286 for doing like 83 in a 65, when I went to court they knocked it down quite a bit to I think $100 or something like that. Hopefully you will somehow get it dropped but i don't think they are going to charge you 225, maybe 100....

 

Wow $225 for a loud exhaust. That sucks. I got a ticket for my loud exhaust and it was only $10. It was a fix-it ticket. All I had to do is get it dB tested and make sure it is under the 95dB law. I just added a glasspack which did the trick.

yea i'd fix the loudness before you go to court & play dumb. like " what... my exhaust isn't....... loud... come hear for yourself "

i just can't beleive the cost of that ticket for a loud exhaust. i think police departments or whoever mandates the cost of tickets is freakn nuts. they'll do anything for an extra buck, and they know they can get us for anything stupid like that.

if you watch'd the mtv: real life, im a street racer. the cops were giving them tickets for how low the car was & for having an aftermarket intake (good thing for AEM being 50 state legal), etc.

ya the its in the piping, it came with exhaust. but ive heard glasspacks in place of it make it better. OP chime in here. i put the silencer in. its quieter but still kind of loud.

 

Do you have the exhaust welded on, or just hangers? You could take it all off, put the stock piping back on.
