Another rubbery sounding squeak coming from the enigne (sounds like a rubber mount or something, and it's right between the drivers and passengers seat, between my knees and feet) squeaking. It's been in to the dealer 4 times for this and they still can't fix it. Hell, I've even went under there with some liquid wrench and sprayed everything rubber and I can't even find it.
I had the same problem, i couldn't figure out what it was, drove me nuts! i thought everything from the engine mount to me putting the dash back together wrong. Dealer told me that it was the accelerator cable rubbing on the intake (or something very similar to that). $12 fix. squ sque sq sq sq squeaaak sq squ... that was a beioch noise.

2k1 tib 5sp
passenger side lo-beams blown twice in 6 months.
sad.gif occasional grind into reverse or takes a couple tries to engage reverse
cricks and cracks sounding around cabin while idling or moving
That and the rear seat on the driver side popped up....fixed under warranty about a month ago AND THEN POPPED UP AGAIN LAST NIGHT!!!! pissed me off.

Oh and i think that creaking in the inside is coming from...damn its hard to explain...Theres a little piece of plastic on the hatch that i pushed from the back seat while my mom was driving and the creaking stopped for a while, its beneath the window.

the low beam lights for the past couple of months have been weird, one goes out gets fixed and then the other goes out gets fixed now both are blown grrrr

Still love the tib though (2k Tib 5spd pretty much stock)

Hey Phorq,

I forgot to mention that it only did it when the car is cold.......did yours do the same?

Thanks for the tip too, I'll look in to that today.

AllBlackTibby, that noise was slightly louder when cold, but it always was there... good luck.

Thanks FAL, i'll do some searching around in the back and see if i can figure out where you're talking about. send me a pic of the area you're talking about if you have a digicamera... but i'll get a friend to sit in back and listen, thanks.
and yeah, one lo-beam goes, gets fixed, and a week later, the other goes... grrrr...

Have been autocrossing my 97 Tib since new. Runs in stock class so no upgrades other than Konis at all four corners. Been a great little car but here are my gremlins.

Alternator @ 60K miles
Clock can't set it with the buttons
Same shifting issue as everyone else
Car was very quiet interior until just lately. Now have rattle in rear drivers side

Just replaced clutch, to bearing and pressure plate @75K

#1 Complaint...Noisey HLAs Am going to have local race shop modify oil pan so starvation doesn't occur during long high G corner loading. Will try replacing HLAs after the mod to see if they quit rattling. poke

2000 Automatic Tib
Reblaced all bulbs and audio system

1) Seatbelt Recall
2) Blown Headlight (as my topic stated)
3) Rattles in dash in idle. I hit dash and it goes away...
4) Current Problem: In the cold, as with last winter, passenger door lock does not lock/unlock from the outside.
5) Gas guage went out (Dealer replaced guage)
6) Steering wheel alignment off after one year (fixed by dealer)
7) Current Problem: Sometimes when I close my door, especially in the winter, the window gets jammed and stays slightly open until I roll it down and up
