98 Hyundai Elantra 1.6 BETA manual
1) The door handle in the interior keeps on breaking. Solution: Bought new ones.
2) Tranny grinding at third when going at a moderate amount of speed. Solution: I plan to have my tranny overhauled.
3) Hard to start the car. Have to depress clutch pedal VERY hard to start it. Solution: See no. 2
4) There is rust somewhere in the passenger door (can't describe exactly where).
5) Weak brakes. I think the brake booster is now weak. Solution: Replace brake booster and/or upgrade brake system.
6) Umm... that's it I guess. I don't use my car often after I skidded and ended up in the weeds. I'll get back to you later.

2k1 Accent GL 5spd.
less than 1000 km's, really loose shifting. Warr. Fix.
License plate bulb died before first safety inspection smile.gif
1st and reverse not so smooth of course
wierd clunking noise on front driver side when turning sometimes, dealer refuses to acknowledge is a problem - only happens when it wants to, not when I try to show them.
Transmission leaks, 48k maint coming up, so I'll be gett'n them to fix it then
Rear door moulding gets loose, hits front door when rear door opens, and falls off. Replacement clips are cheap though.
CD player starting to skip more, and reject burnt cd's more.
Interior scratches much to easily smile.gif
Factory all season tires, were not meant for the four seasons I know. dealer said he'd replace them when I came in and complained several months later but never did, and refuses to admit he said he would

Didn't see this posted above, but I may have missed it. I've seen other posts about this problem so I thought I'd post it here.
Leaking driver side window. Right where the window meets the side mirror. No leak on passenger side seems to be the norm.

Yellow, 2000 5Spd
* Both headlights - 6 months old, no warranty
* Seat belt problems, before the recall - Dealer claimed to fix... not fixed
* Seat belt recall, problem seems to be fixed but seat belts seem harder to pull out
Nothing else....

2000 Elantra Automatic
Squeaking breaks
Dimmer switch keeps falling back behind dash, I can no longer reach it, so I have a hole in my dash instead
Tailights blow out like crazy(I mean at least every 1.5 months), Hyundai said they can't find anything wrong, therefore can't fix it.
2001 Tiburon Automatic
Nothing yet to report

this is a solution, not a problem. about the hard to shift to first gear. i had a 2000 tibby engine and 2001 tibby gearbox put in my 99 accent just before xmas. right away i noticed it was hard to shift to first gear when driving in slow traffic. just shift to neutral, release the clutch, then engage clutch, shift to first, slips right in.
apologies for being off-topic, but i'm comforted to hear this is a general problem. i was afraid i got a used/abused tranny.
