NORWAY (WABC) -- Household chores could tell you a lot about the state of your marriage and how likely you are to get divorced. A Norwegian study has found divorce rates are far higher among modern couples who share the housework. In homes where the woman does the lion's share of the chores, the divorce rate was about 50 percent lower.

I think it's more telling of women who are willing to do most of the work and be submissive who are unwilling to file for divorce. Similarly, what guy is going to divorce a wife who does all the chores for him?

Exactly.. For example, perhaps women are more likely to do more chores when their husbands aren't a**holes. And the real causation relation is between husbands being a**holes and divorce. Just an example, you could come up with 100 of these that are possible.
I hate how most journalists don't seem to understand this (or don't care). They take a study that reports a correlation (and nothing more), and the title of the article invariably states causation. Here at least they added "could"

I'm going to be a very active businessman. I hope my future wife will at least do the odd timing belt change or clean the gutters for me once in a while. Otherwise she'll probably be out the door with 30% and no kids.
