kind of dumb you're buying a $180,000 car and the gone in 60 seconds logo is painted under the hood.

i know 1963 mustang bodies are remade through fords license but it would be nice if the whole chassis was fiberglass. then the car would be worthy.

absolutely not! the mclaren f1 bodyshell is composed of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and compressed fiberglass chassis, similar to the Ferrari GTB or 328 which has fiberglass body panels, subframe and underlay (floor, roof). we're talking about shedding hundreds of pounds! i figure if you're paying $138k for a car that's not a lamborghini, you figure it will at least be as light as a superleggera @ 2998lb. the shelby gt V8 might get 200hp/ton @ 3,500lb while the Ferrari 458 V8 will get 400hp/ton @ 3000lb. the Ferrari would be just short of twice as fast.

 

Ok, there is no 63 mustang though. And fiberglass for a chassis, still not a good option IMO.

138k gets you 450hp of 73 Mustang and a Gone in 60 Seconds badge. Or $5,000 gets you 450hp of 5.0 Fox Mustang.

Either way, this Mustang is a dumb idea.

 

100K is to pay to have "Gone In 60 Seconds" painted on your car!

there you have it! easier stated than how i stated. i did some doughnuts in a dropped 5.0 foxbody convertible. loads of fun except for how fast the gas goes down.

i think it's a '67. there are so many mustang bodies now hehe.
