I purchased a flywheel from an elantra with 20,000 miles on it for $70 shipped. It was a great price for an OEM. I can't testify to the quality because my fuxin' buddy used an impact wrench on it and cracked it by tightening in a circle instead of star cross.

I've been running the XTD Prolite Flywheel from ebay for more than a year and am very happy with it. Much lighter and very noticeable difference for not too much money.

the first flywheel i bought from gripforce had the ring gear teeth break off. no bendix gear is strong enough to do that, they are made of a soft metal and these flywheels are supposedly heat treated.

then the replacement one i got from them is now cracking in the center and even gripforce said it was due to inproper heat treating.

i'm not just making this stuff up. to top that all off they tried telling me both times that it was because i didnt know what i was doing. even though the first time i had a certified master tech do it and the second time i had a friend freshly out of wyotech helping me.

their product and customer service is bullshit.

if you think i'm making it up then see what happens when you buy from them.......

btw, don't forget to tighten the flywheel bolts according to the proper torque specs and use the blue threadlock
