Drive safe and good luck. If you where coming through Ohio I'd give you a place to crash but I think I am a little off the beaten path. There are some bad storms pushing through to the east coast from here so be careful.I use to love driving all day when it was just me and a girl now that i Have kids getting 8 hrs of driving time in a day just because of bathroom breaks would be a mile accomplishment

Best of luck to you. You should take a lot of pics on your drive. I'm sure you will see some neat stuff. I would help but Iowa is a bit out of the way.

This is the route we ended up actually taking. busy_squirrel went with me.

We made it back fine with no major issues whatsoever.

Beta Accent > Alpha Accent

Trip stats:

3064.2 miles on the odometer.

87.887 gallons of gas.

34.865 mpg over the entire trip even with a Beta engine swap.

16 states visited.

62 hours from leaving Manassas, VA to arriving at my house.

54 hours of actual drive time.

5 hours sleep for me.

I knew I would miss out on seeing people since I changed paths, but I didn't have time to try to find people along the way. The only HA people I met this time was Tak and ElectricTuscani.

I have plans for new years, but you're welcome to come if you don't mind driving to Puyallup.

Better gas mileage is another bonus of the beta swap since the motor is now powering a lighter car.
