Cross-Country with DTN
I'm going across the country from South Carolina to Las vegas for now. I will be going to Montana, Seattle and Portland as well. I'm looking for a job as a biomedical equipment technician in the civilian sector as my military contract is up. I hooked up a uhaul to my tib and hit the road.
I started my journey in Columbia, SC. Currently I'm in New Columbia, MO right now. Here's some pictures
I stopped in Atlanta for 2 days to do some networking. I spent $20 and brought 2 dozen bagels in with me to the biomedical department in the hospital. They offered me a job for $35,000-$45,000 per year. I turned it down because I want more! I was able to get the names of the local contractors that they use and some leads. Always bring gifts and dress in a suit when looking for work. It helps. I basically told the guy that what he had didn't interest me, but I'd like to know the names and websites of higher paying on-site contractors that they use. So he was more then happy to help because I brought bagels for the entire shop. Networking roxorz. I was referred to 21 open positions that day to manufacturers/contractors I'd never heard of.
Here's a night pic of ATL
So continuing on. I'm now on my way to Kansas to see member UrS0NvS.
Here's Tenn.
And pretty much all of Illinois.. All of it...
ST Louis, mo.
I had to take a pic because Majik has posted so many of them.
And now I'm off to Kansas City and Wamigo, KS.

Looks like a hell of an experience. If you want to meet up I'm in between Portland and Seattle, but can drive to either.
Enjoy your time out there. I await updates. Lol.
