LoL ive seen "no standing" signs all over NY state, its actually usually part of the written test to get your permit to drive here
and TC im pretty sure we can all understand what it says if we stare at it and think about it, but the point is that its just a very wierd looking sign, if your used to seeing that all day im sorry lol, that sucks.
Here in Cuse theres alot of "no lefts on weekdays between XXam and XXpm" so you have to look at them as you roll slowly through the intersection, then you look at the clock and think about what day it is, then you decide whether you can turn or not LOL & then theres the specific "no parking on certain days" signs, but none are that bad.

Actually you can find no standing signs across the country, so I'm not sure what that says about you DTN. tongue.gif
Dude, I learned to drive in Montana about 12 years ago when we didn't have speed limits. There aren't no standing signs anywhere I've lived. We had to learn "night 65" signs and the standard stop, yeild, turn, stuff like that. Btw.... Night 65 = Daytime 130mph on the highway.

lol, DTN.. ever been to an airport? I thought everyone knew what standing meant.
NYC is really not that bad. I've never lived there but have had to park a little VW Golf with three surf boards on top in Soho many a times. I wonder how motorcycle friendly they are in that state/city. Might be a good investment..
Oh and if you think you've seen effed up signs on the street...
Hell Froze Over!

lol! No I'm a New Yorker, so I'm accustomed to deciphering ridiculous parking signs like that. Parking in NYC is a b**** but once you do find a spot you're golden.
Except at nights. My brother-in-law and I always go to shows in NYC and we always get a parking spot. NYC is dead at nights.
