Second having some communistic policies is not a bad thing. Our Fire protection services are based on communistic ideas, so are our police and library systems, and they seem to serve us well. Maybe healthcare could work this way too.

Nobody said that the "workers" will have to slave away for hours on end just so we can purchase nice flat screen tv's for those who chose to not work. What he is talking about is equal rights and that is all. I hate having to stand up and fight for Obama as if I am his #1 fanboy or something because I am not, but I am so tired of hearing quick flashy lines about "Obama is taking away our America" and "He wants to turn us all into communists", that simply isn't the case.





Perfect example right here, "Vote against Obama or you hate America" Flat out that is a lie. Again, his policies may not be the best option, he may not have all the right answers, and he probably isn't perfect, but I cannot believe that he is actually truing to "Ruin the America that my grand-daddy fought to protect in the war", at least not any more than any other politician out there.

This same argument is occurring on another of my forums as we speak. FDR needed Pearl Harbor to get us into war as the American citizens wanted nothing to do with it.



But I will say WWII was the last true war. Everything since then is nation building for nefarious reasons.

Yes they did, that is exactly what shared prosperity means. Shared success, the guy at the bottom of the class, gets valedictorian just like the guy that worked off his butt gets.



So, yes it does make you seem like his fanboy when you he says a blantantly communist statement, and you defend it and say it doesn't mean that. I mean, look up the defintion of prosperity and shared. How could it mean something else? Communism is a fundemental change in America that Obama talked about.



Police is hardly a communist or socialist organization. We can't do that to ourselves, people need to be appointed to do that. They equally enforece laws to the highest of the high and the poorest of the poor. That isn't exactly the govt forcing shared prosperity. Socialism is everyone is the same class. Education and police and fire have nothing to do with that.

After WW2 the War Department was changed to the Defense Department. We had 3 wars under the War Department, WWI, WWII and I believe the Spanish American war if my memory serves me correctly. Now as the "Defense" Department we have had endless wars, how f*cking Orwellian is that, nice double talk there with the names, but hey, Americans buy anything with a good name attached, just look at the "Patriot Act"

I will agree with you there. Just like the "planned parenthood" is #1 at prevention of parenthood aka abortion.



Both sides put a 'fun' name on something and it is accepted.



The same reason Obama got elected, hope, sure hope sounds good as a title, but the untruth behind it is the opposite, opression.



It is tatamount to a kid running for school pres winning by saying "blah blah HS football rules", though he plans on ended HS sports.

First I must amend this statement, these things follow socialist structures, not communist.



Second a statement like

needs a little more examination. Could he be talking about flat out communism? A land in which doctors lawyers carnies and drunks all earned the same wage? Maybe, but I have a hard time believing that even Obama could think it possible to change America over to a completely communistic government. Perhaps what he is talking about is a change in government in which health care and quality education are easily accessible to all. Sure there are options for both available now, but I think everyone can agree that things aren't perfect.

i did time in new mexico(i say did time cuz its as oppressed as a prison), one of the poorest, least educated, ass backwards states in the union (look it up....its typically the bottom 5% in every category) and i will say this



most of the people i know that were under some sort of government welfare program abused it at every opportunity possible.



here are some of the things i observed while there:



peddling the government food stamp program for 1/2 face value if not less, in cash

claiming disability so they can collect pain pills to sell

trading school lunch vouchers to buy cigs/alcohol

when i worked at the shop, a guy came in and honestly told me "im not actually looking for a job, but if this person calls can you say i stopped in and filled out a application"

connecting electricity cables to 2 other houses because 1 household qualifies for government assistance with utilities and the other 2 dont



me and tom here actually had a conversation about something similar yesterday



i left it like this, go to the ghetto and give a 18 year old the option of either getting rims for his car, or, paying for the first year of college.....
