Calling out Computer experts ! i need virus help.
Im usually pretty good with computers but im pretty much stumped on this one.
Somehow my computer got the PE Weird virus and infected 14 of my files. so of course i run norton it finds the files but cant delete them or fix them. then i used a online virus scan and same thing.
Anybody know anything about this virus and a trick to get rid of it? or should i just whip out my copy of windows xp and start formatting?

Two things you need to do...one is disable system restore. Right click my computer, properties, system restore tab, disable system restore.
Your problem is the service is running and therefore cannot be removed. Restart your PC in safe mode (press F8 while booting) then run the virus scan.
If the above doesn't work, see www.symantec.com for manual removal.
Removal can be found here

That goes back to the Fisher-Price interface. Disable those options and again, you're nearly identical. A better statement would have been to ditch Windows period and go with OS X or Red Hat.
