Download AdAware , update, run. Download Spybot, update, run. Those should help tremendously. I've notice that anti-virus programs are shite and the free programs are the ones that actually work good... McAfee = shit. Norton = shit/now your PC runs slow.

Note! This is a direct link to the .exe for spybot download.

This one is for Adaware.

I would, but I can't log in. It logs me off as soon as I try logging in reg windows or any type of safe mode etc.

u could get a harddrive from walmart or somthing, install windows on that, run anti virus/spy/adware from the new drive then format it and bring it back...
ive done it before when i was at a friends house, it was closer to walmart then my house so i went there instead of going home and grabbing one rolleyes.gif

Knoppix is like a remote operating system or something right? I recall a kid in m java class who used it to run IP programs or something.... Here is the web definition, and it turns out I'm right.

Knoppix is a Linux distribution LiveCD. Knoppix is a Debian based Linux distribution running on a CD drive without using the hard drive or installing any files onto the hard drive. Knoppix was developed by GNU/Linux consultant Klaus Knopper.

I don't know how you would use this to your advantage, but I would sure like to know. Please enlighten me!

Login in safe mode with network support. Then go to the microsoft.com website. If you click on security they have a online spyware scanner which takes care of most threatening spywares. I'd expect what you have to be covered.

Login to Safe Mode w/Networking, then you should be able to get online.

I would run these two programs, "CCleaner" and "ewido Anti-Malware" They are both freeware, you should be able to find them through Google or Download.com

If those still don't work, there's a program called "Dial-a-Fix" which can repair broken registry links/entries.

I don't think I've ever seen a problem that these 3 progams could not detect (I am a Network Administrator / Tech Support, so I see a lot tongue.gif)

Of course, run Adaware, and/or Norton/Defender before using the other three.

Also, do all the Windows Updates, and look at your update history to make sure you have not failed any, I have seen updates download and install halfway, become corrupt, and f**k everything up. If you have missed an update, get the error # and search it on Microsoft's KB, they will have a fix/workaround for it.

Good luck
