To be fair, there have been numerous report just like this for well over a decade. I remember a time when people seriously feared the "American Hiroshima" threats. Even if that were a realistic threat, there would be a series of test bombings in various Middle Eastern and eastern European locations long before we became a target. At least with the tension focused in those areas right now it's the most likely target.

More like the ones that report people who profess to want to destroy western civilization getting their hands on uranium.
Regardless of the truth of them, I am glad to see reports that this uranium was not "very" bad, and a dirty bomb made with it would contaminate the area for as long as it took to hose off the sidewalks. Even if the stuff they got is nearly weapons-grade, reporting it is not takes the wind out of their dirty bomb sail.
