Got to go on one last night with a family friend who's a Sgt. It was fairly uneventful because the weather wasn't great, so I guess the crazies stayed indoors. The only thing that really happened was a stolen car was spotted parked at the suspect's house about a block away from the dealership from which it was stolen and I got to see him get arrested.

Otherwise, it was pretty cool to see what cops actually do during a shift. Anyone else ever been on one and have stories to share?

 

I havent but my friend who is a CJ major has. He said the only call they responded to was a domestic dispute.

 

i really dont care for certin type of cops...

so a ride a long is not high on my TO DO list

i get to do 5 weeks of work experience with our forensic police for my degree
even have to do the full training course and psych tests n everything

 

Used to do frequent ride-alongs with a BLM Ranger when I was a BLM Firefighter. Yes, they're real cops. I'm both an NRA an US Army Expert marksman as well as an EMT. He liked having me around.

 

I went on a couple when I was in high school for my Participate In Government class.
