This happened about 10 minutes from where I live. 5 people shot (firefighters and a cop), 2 died. Its all over national news outlets today. The community is devastated that this happened on Christmas Eve. Alot of people knew the victims and they found out that the shooter used assault weapons. He was a convicted felon who killed his grandmother years ago with a hammer, and was let out of prison.



Absolute horrible tragedy here in upstate NY.

This is the shooter, who killed his grandmother with a hammer years ago. Why they let him out of prison is beyond me

Just Proves people will find a way to obtain Assault Weapons even though they aren't supposed to have them... which means banning such Weapons is pointless.

Every time something like this grabs headlines a bunch of whackjobs find their way to get 15min of fame and our retarded asses keep watching the stories and want to know more about them. Why did they do it, what motivated them, did they like frosted flakes or fruit loops as a kid. Stop giving them a !#$I!@#!I@# stage!!!!!!!



On this one.. why in the !$!@#!@# did they let him out? A hammer? really? That doesn't scream shouldn't be allowed around other humans? However, I bet the assault gun was a part of the call to let him out of prison. I have heard they are friends with the Governor.

WytchDctr I completely agree the media publishes these articles over and over and builds up the hype about them, and by doing so they give the shooter the attention they were looking for from the beginning. This in turn shows other possible shooters that they will be remembered or at least talked about.

HotBlue02 while were at it lets ban Axes too. I mean, generally the only time anyone uses the word "axe" is followed by "murderer." Since the only thing so many people buy axes for is to be an axe murderer, they should be restricted only to full-time fire fighters and licensed forestry professionals
