70,000-piece Lego replica of the Serenity spaceship
For his day job, 37-year-old mechanical engineer Adrian Drake designs combustion science experiments for the International Space Station. In his off time, Drake (also known in the Lego community as brickfrenzy) loves to build large-scale custom Lego masterpieces.
This project took 475 hours over 21 months. The ship has a full interior from the bridge to the cargo bay, and features lights in the cargo bay and firefly drive.
There are about 70,000 pieces, and it weighs around 135 pounds.
The Serenity is now hanging out at the North Canton, Oho location of Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom. It will be there at least through Christmas, so if you're in the area, stop in and check it out. And tell them that Adrian sent you!
Also, the micro Serenity kits will be on sale there too, if you want to buy one but don't want to pay for shipping.

FREAKING AMAZING!!!! I loved the Firefly episodes. I really hope they decide to do a reboot and bring it back. Serenity was great but I would have preferred them to take the money they spent on that movie and put it back into more than just the 1 season of Firefly.
